Midwinter Staff is over and we are closer to getting our website approved and listed on the CAF main site. Soon, I’ll put out a snail mail newsletter and that will be the last one unless you specifically request us to mail it to you. Greg has done a great job getting that squared away. Look for more improvements as time goes on.

We made a command decision to make a donation to the CAF Colonel’s Center (O’Club). Right now, and for the future we have no home. Jim Munn is carrying around our plaque and flag and that won’t do. So, we have bought a wall in the O’Club for our permanent use. Anybody know where we can get a squadron table, the old carved kind that seated about 12 or 15 like we had in the Philippines?

Mark Novak has agreed to step in as Sec/Treas. in 2007, so thanks to both him and Doug for helping out after Bob. Thanks to all involved in that one, whew.

The CAF Multi-engine Working Group is history. At 0600 Saturday morning, it ought to be. Anyway, the Ops Board is going to write some suggested language to put to rest the issue of formation in any CAF aircraft in any venue. There are several possibilities to increase the number of clinics and increase the CAF T6s available for those clinics. More on that later, when we get the word.

TRARON will help with any local clinic you guys want to hold, we will get you instructors/check pilots. All it takes is a 4-ship and an airport willing to work with you. Ideally, you should plan on a ground school Friday evening and as much flying as you can get in on Saturday and Sunday.
