                                  TRARON Lead

                                                          Dr. Morris Ray

 

 

                     

 

Morris W. Ray, MD, holder of the Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award, assumed TRARON Lead 1 Jan. 2011. Currently employed as Chief Flight Instructor at a small 141 Flight School and as a Designated Pilot Examiner, his interests in formation flying include flying right wing for the T-6Aerobatic Formation Team, Wings of Gold (Fred Johnson-Lead, David Peeler-Left wing). He also flew as alternate right wing one season for the Aeroshell Team.

With over 4,000 hours of instruction given as a CFI, Morris’s main interests are teaching formation flying and safety. He owns and instructs in a Super Decathalon, Boeing Stearman, and North American T-6G.

Jim Munn

 

                           Jim lives in California and flies his own T6.

                                   Larry "Lumpy" Lumpkin

                    

 

Lumpy lives in Omaha, Nebraska and flies an Airbus A320 as a Captain for United out of Chicago.  He began flying in 1978 after 4 years in the Air Force and completed the journey as flight instructor, charter pilot, and airline pilot.  Warbirds came into his life in 2001 with a concentrated effort in the Minnesota Wing's T-6.  Three years later he was ready to qualify in the CAF P-51 GUNFIGHTER.  Lumpy credits the patience of Dr. Morris Ray, Rick Hosking,and Jim Munn, along with others, in his obtaining his Wingman and Lead cards.  He looks forward to helping others experience the same demanding, fun, and challenge of formation flying.

Finance Officer

Charles "Chuck" Marshall

  Chuck is a retired CPA (35 years in practice) who lives in Indiana (see the former Confederate A.F. is getting Yankees involved!).  He holds Commercial ASEL, AMEL, ASES, Instrument Airplane, and Glider certificates.  He is Lead qualified in CAF, NATA, J LFC, & Stearman Flight.  Currently Chuck owns and flies the following aircraft: T-6G, Husky (wheels, skis, floats, and amphibious), Stearman, PT-17, F-1 Rocket, and Aztec “E”.
